Lost Pond Farm
Set against the backdrop of West Virginia's breathtaking Appalachian Mountains, Lost Pond Farm is our sister property, a rustic 1914 farm that supplies fresh, organic produce and flowers to the Inn at Lost River and Lost River General Store. Although only a farmette, spanning less than 6 acres, Lost Pond Farm thrives in the rich Appalachian soil, growing heirloom vegetables, herbs, fruits, zinnias, dahlias, and other flowers that reflect the seasons.

We embrace West Virginia’s unique microclimate, which allows for a wide variety of crops, from sweet summer tomatoes and peppers to crisp autumn apples, pears, and squash. Nature and native varieties take center stage. Guests of the Inn are treated to this seasonal bounty, with menus that change daily, inspired by the freshest offerings of our little farmette along with other producers throughout the valley and region. Every meal celebrates the connection between the rugged beauty of the surrounding landscape and the seasonal flavors that the land provides.

At the heart of the Inn at Lost River is a commitment to sustainability and community, a philosophy that ties together our little farmette, the Inn, and the local artisans who supply everything from hand-crafted products in the Lost River General Store to local mountain-harvested honey and sorghum. It’s a place where West Virginia’s natural beauty, Appalachian hospitality, and the region’s agricultural heritage converge, creating an authentic, unforgettable farm-to-table experience.
